NCT 127 drop BLINGY, their first full album in two years

Nine tracks led by the title song "Blingy" arrived Monday at 6 p.m. KST alongside the music video. SM says the group has "gathered again in Seoul as one team" to open its 10th-anniversary chapter.

NCT 127 are back. In an announcement posted to the group's official channel at 12:20 p.m. KST on Monday, SM Entertainment said the seventh full album BLINGY would be released the same day at 6 p.m., with all nine tracks, led by the title song "Blingy," and the music video arriving simultaneously.

The keyword SM put front and center is "one team." The announcement says the members have "gathered again in Seoul as one team" and will "open a new chapter of the 10th anniversary with an irreplaceable presence." The posts carried the #NCT_10TH_ANNIVERSARY hashtag; NCT 127 debuted in July 2016 and mark their 10th anniversary this year.

By full-album count, BLINGY arrives about two years and one month after WALK, the group's sixth album released on July 15, 2024 with 11 tracks led by "Walk."

The rollout built in stages from August 21, when member teaser images for the "Blingy" music video, including Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun and Haechan, appeared on the official X account, followed by the music-video teaser on August 22. On release day, a group photo of the members in black suits went up with the caption "BLINGY is on your way."

The schedule around the release is built for fan participation. A Melon Music Wave listening event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. KST today, with fans streaming the album together in real time. A pre-event mission "summoned" one member for every 770,000 hearts in the chat room. A BLINGY comeback live party follows at 8 p.m. on August 25 across YouTube, Weverse and TikTok.
