Simulation

Simulation means recreating the real world inside a computer. It matters especially in AI because it lets you practice things endlessly in a virtual space that would be too expensive or too dangerous to learn through trial and error in the real world.

Self-driving cars are a classic example. You can't let a car learn by crashing on real roads, so it drives billions of virtual kilometers in a simulated city instead. Robots work the same way — they practice walking a million times in virtual space before ever taking a real step and risking a fall.

When NVIDIA's Omniverse or Google's simulation environments show up in the news, this is the context. In the AI era, simulation isn't just game graphics anymore — it's become essential infrastructure for training and testing AI.
