TUIDE arrive in motion
TUIDE made their official debut on August 24 with the first EP [TUNE & PLAY], led by the title song “SUN KISS.” HYBE LABELS released the official music video at 6 PM KST, two hours before ABD's debut showcase at YES24 LIVE HALL in Seoul.
The video introduces the seven-member group through movement rather than a studio-bound roll call. A camper van crosses a black volcanic landscape; the members run along a black-sand coast, stop beside waterfalls and lakes, and dance against roads, low buildings and wide green mountains. Sun, cloud, rain and lightning pass through the same three-minute world. The changing weather gives the debut a restless scale while the group keep the performance light and unforced.
Its final seconds shift from polished choreography to candid production chatter and a group take. That small break in the finish matters: after a video built around monumental scenery, TUIDE leave viewers with the feeling of seven people making something together in real time.
What “SUN KISS” sounds and looks like
The track is produced by GroovyRoom, credited through Lil Moshpit and IÖN. At the group's media showcase, the members described their sound as “Soultronic,” a blend of soul warmth and electronic polish. “SUN KISS” is the clearest version of that idea on the debut: a relaxed vocal line sits over a more sharply cut rhythmic track, while the chorus returns to the idea of trusting one's own voice and moving by one's own rhythm.
The visual credits are unusually deep for a first release. OUI KIM directed the music video, NEWYEAR* handled production, and TRUENORTH supplied the local production team. TRUENORTH is based in Reykjavík and specialises in location production across Iceland and the Nordic region. The official credits name a local line producer, location manager, drone pilot, grip crew and transport team, making the landscape a production choice rather than a digital backdrop. SECONDFLOOR VFX STUDIO handled visual-effects work, while COLORGRAF completed the colour grade.
That combination gives the video its strongest contrast. TUIDE's groove stays loose, but the frame keeps opening into cliffs, water and empty roads. Instead of using Iceland only as a beauty shot, the edit lets the members interrupt its stillness — running, laughing, dancing and clustering around the camper van.
Five tracks establish the first chapter
[TUNE & PLAY] contains five songs. The sequence moves from the label-named opener “ABD” into “SUN KISS,” then continues through “Echo,” “Flip-Flop Girl” and “GRLS.” The compact track list gives the debut enough room to establish a sound without turning the release into a catalogue.
| Track | Order |
|---|---|
| ABD | 1 |
| SUN KISS | 2 |
| Echo | 3 |
| Flip-Flop Girl | 4 |
| GRLS | 5 |
The official video credits also show how much of the launch sits beyond the recording itself: visual creative, performance direction, styling, A&R, artist management and marketing are all listed alongside the music and film teams. ABD is presenting TUIDE as a complete visual-performance project from the first day, not as a song waiting for an identity later.
Debut night crosses two official platforms
ABD scheduled the debut showcase for 8 PM KST at YES24 LIVE HALL. The official Weverse notice listed two livestream destinations: TUIDE's Weverse community and the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel. That puts the performance and the music video in the same public release window, giving overseas viewers a direct route from the filmed world of “SUN KISS” to the group's first-night stage.
Editor's take
The smartest choice in “SUN KISS” is restraint. A new HYBE-affiliated girl group could have arrived under layers of lore, expensive graphics and aggressive declarations. TUIDE instead get a simple proposition: seven distinct performers, a groove-led song and a landscape large enough to make their movement readable.
The Iceland shoot supplies scale, but the candid ending stops the debut from feeling remote. That balance — polished enough to announce a major launch, loose enough to suggest a group personality — is more useful than a complicated concept statement. ABD's next test is whether the live stages and follow-up tracks can keep that relaxed “Soultronic” identity once the novelty of the scenery is gone.
