The seasonal turn is when Korean skincare aisles fill up with big jars. Physiogel's version this month is a 200ml tub of its DMT Facial Cream, bundled with a 50ml DMT Essence in Toner and one DMT Cream Mask sheet, sold only at Olive Young.

What the set is, and why now

Physiogel is the dermatological beauty line under LG Household & Health Care, and the DMT Facial Cream is its long-running staple. The company traces the brand back through 179 years of German dermatological science and says the cream has sold 13 million units globally between January 2018 and January 2026.

The set landed as Olive Young's September pick — the chain's monthly featured-product slot. LG H&H frames the timing around the change of seasons, when skin tends to dry out fastest. The company describes the set as discounted by as much as 47% off, and it runs for the month only.

What's actually in the cream

The formula leans on what Physiogel calls biomimic technology: ingredients built to resemble the lipids skin already makes, kept to a compact list rather than a long one. LG H&H says that approach keeps the texture mild enough for adults and infants alike. In an ex vivo study conducted by the Global Medical Research Center from June 4 to 12, 2026, the biomimic formula showed 21.5% higher prevention of skin-barrier damage than a comparison product without it.

The manufacturing side gets its own name too — micro infusion. A special vacuum mixer blends the raw materials slowly and precisely so the particles come out fine and uniform, which is what gives the cream its texture. LG H&H says a single run takes a full day.

A brand representative put the positioning this way: Physiogel studies "how the skin accepts ingredients," not just which ingredients to list.

How to pick it up

  1. The set is sold at Olive Young, both in physical stores and through the chain's online channel.
  2. Look for it under the September Olive Young Pick lineup — it's a set exclusive to the retailer, so it isn't the same as buying the cream on its own.
  3. Check the window: the offer runs through Sept. 30.

The mix is worth reading before you buy. You get one full-size cream, a travel-scale toner, and a single mask sheet — closer to a stock-up on the cream with two samples attached than a full routine set.

Editor's take

The interesting part here isn't the discount. It's that a dermo brand is fighting for the September aisle with volume rather than a new SKU. Korean beauty launches usually chase novelty — a new active, a new texture, a new collab. Physiogel is doing the opposite: same cream, bigger jar, one retailer, one month.

Read the 21.5% figure for what it is. That's an ex vivo lab comparison against a formula stripped of biomimic ingredients, not a promise about your face in October. What the number actually tells you is where the brand wants the argument to happen — on barrier data rather than on trending ingredients. If you already use the cream, the calendar matters more than the claim: after Sept. 30, the set goes away.
